About The Forum

Over the past decade, African countries have been committed to developing their infrastructure. They have relied primarily on funding from development finance institutions and their national budgets.  Such reliance has not provided sufficient resources relative to the infrastructure development needs, estimated to be over $93 billion per year. It is generally recognized that a transition to greater use of private financing is needed to close the infrastructure financing gap. The partnership between private and public sector financiers has created new opportunities for investment, but also new challenges.

Corporate Council on Africa’s Finance Forum will bring together more than 100 project developers, financiers and African government representatives to discuss public and private sector infrastructure financing, highlight specific investment opportunities, and facilitate transactions.
